Character Creation

As Tom has pointed out via email, there is a point buy system in the book, however, it tends to create characters that are too generalist or are so specialized in one area they aren’t very interesting. If you choose to do point buy that is fine by me.

If you choose not to do point buy here are the rules. You will roll 11 sets of 2d10, dropping the lowest and rerolling 1s. If you do not like your first set you can roll a second set, however, you will have to take the second set. You can place your attributes in which ever slots you wish. Remember if you are playing a Human you add 25 to your 2d10 rolls, if you are a Space Marine you add 30.

If you look in the book Prides, Disgraces, and Motivations aren’t very diverse, and tend to fit your character into specific lines of personality. I am willing to work with people to create custom Prides, Disgraces, and Motivations. Keep in mind they will be balanced with the current ones in the book. This will allow people to play characters that are more interesting in personality and less min-maxed for the ‘best possible outcome’. I too enjoy creating the strongest characters, but often Roleplaying a good character can trump even the best/worst dice roll.
